Michael A.G. Burton has been named corporate leader of ecological and water resources

Michael A.G. Burton, a WilsonMiller (www.wilsonmiller.com) vice president and senior associate, has been named corporate leader of ecological and water resources.

He is now responsible for the business unit’s operations throughout the firm’s 11 offices.

Additionally, he will continue to serve as vice president and manager of environmental aquatic control (EAC), a wholly owned WilsonMiller subsidiary that provides ecological restoration services statewide.

Previously, Burton was chief operating officer, vice president, principal scientist, and co-owner of the EAC Group of Companies, which WilsonMiller acquired in May of 2007.

Burton has more than 15 years of experience in environmental consulting in the public and private sectors. This includes comprehensive project feasibility analyses and identification of wetlands, protected species and habitats, and their potential project impacts.

He has also assisted clients in obtaining federal, state, and local regulatory agency approvals for complex, multiphase projects, including those for residential, commercial, institutional, and industrial developments as well as agriculture, public infrastructure, and resource extraction.
