Andy Woodruff is the vice president of Passarella & Associates, an ecological consulting firm
Andy Woodruff, vice president of Passarella & Associates, has been named to the board of directors for the Calusa Nature Center and Planetarium (www.CalusaNature.com). The private, nonprofit, environmental education organization fosters public awareness of and appreciation for the unique natural systems of Southwest Florida. The 105-acre site includes a museum, three nature trails, planetarium, butterfly and bird aviaries, a gift shop and meeting and picnic areas. The center is on Ortiz Avenue north of the intersection of Colonial Boulevard and Six Mile Cypress in Fort Myers. For additional information, visit www.CalusaNature.com Woodruff has served as an environmental and ecological consultant for private development, public enterprises and transportation projects in Southwest Florida since 1992. He joined Passarella & Associates in 1997 as the lead environmental consultant on a variety of statewide projects that require expertise in wetland science, protected species surveys and habitat management. Woodruff holds a bachelor’s degree in biology from Emory University and a master’s degree in environmental engineering with a major in Florida-specific aquatic science from the University of Florida. He is certified by the Florida Division of Forestry as a prescribed-burn manager and by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers as a wetland delineator. He is a member of the Florida Association of Environmental Professionals and the Society of Wetland Scientists. |
