January 31, 2008
The mixed-use development will includes retail shops, restaurants and condos Pierce Contracting Inc. has started foundation and site infrastructure work on the Citrus Square project, a new mixed-use community on Orange Avenue in downtown Sarasota.

The development, which is the first new community to be built in Sarasota’s urban center in two years, will feature ground-level retail shops and restaurants, outdoor cafes, green spaces and an open plaza.

Two levels of boutique-style condominiums, all built above industry standards, are priced from the mid-$200,000s to the $500,000s, and will be built above the retail spaces. Phase I of Citrus Square ( www.citrussquare.com) is slated for completion in 2008.
