November 18, 2008
The facility was built by Herman Strackbein Construction Inc.

Herman Strackbein Construction Inc. (HSC) (www.HSConstruction.net) has completed the Snook Bight Yacht Club & Marina on Fort Myers Beach.

Located at Marker 27 on Estero Bay, the full-service marina included 58,000 square feet of construction on the 3.5 acre site.

While the marina maintained full operations, HSC constructed a dry-stack boat-storage building that is five stories high. The facility houses 201 boat racks, a boat sales showroom, service building, elevated pool and spa, club room, elevated restaurant over parking, locker and laundry facilities, waterside promenade, fuel dock and ships store.

A pedestrian bridge connects the club amenity level to the restaurant level.

Environmentally friendly elements include a storm drainage and water recycling system, clerestory windows, motion sensor lighting, bicycle racks and showers. Native plants were used in the landscaping.

McHarris Planning & Design of Bonita Springs provided architectural services.
