A trolley tour of the area begins Friday

Sarasota's Community Design Charrette on connecting downtown to the bayfront begins this Friday at 7 p.m. at City Hall and runs through November 18.

Visit www.downtown.sarasotagov.com for more schedule information. On Friday morning between 9:30 and 11:30 a.m., the city's charrette team will travel by trolley to stops along the downtown U.S. 41 corridor to provide information and take public comment.

The trolley will stop at the intersections of Whitaker Park/14th Street at 9:30 a.m., Fruitville and the former Nello's at 10 a.m., Gulfstream and the bayfront parking lot at 10:30 a.m., the Marina Jack parking lot/Main Street at 11 a.m. and the Selby Gardens parking lot/Orange Avenue at 11:30 a.m.
