Tyson and Billy Architecture designed the Fort Myers facility

Redeemer Lutheran Church at 3950 Winkler Ave. in Fort Myers has celebrated its opening.

The 13,000-plus square-foot project houses worship space, classrooms, administrative offices, a nursery and a café. The sanctuary seats 155 and the classrooms will accommodate 174. The church is on 8.58 acres.

“Realizing the magnitude of a church’s investment in both resources and time, Tyson and Billy assist churches with being good stewards in all aspects of the facility development endeavor,” said Bruce Tyson, president of Tyson and Billy Architecture. “Our design for Redeemer reflected current church design trends stressing multiple uses, versatility, and the inclusion of retail spaces such as bookstores and cafes.”

“It’s very important to our congregation to go outside the church walls and to meet the community’s needs,” said Pastor Carlson. “Tyson and Billy shared our conviction that the facility is a tool to accomplish the church’s God given vision.”

Redeemer’s community outreach efforts include development of an early learning center. Tit’s licensed for 174 children ages 4 weeks to 5 years old.
