Re/Max companies merge PDF Print E-mail

The 400-plus-agent Re/Max Alliance Group covers Sarasota, Manatee and Charlotte counties Re/Max Properties and Re/Max Gulfstream Realty on Monday announced their plans to merge.

The new company will be called Re/Max Alliance Group (www.alliancegroupgulfcoast.com). It will employ more than 400 agents in 12 offices in Manatee, Sarasota and Charlotte counties, making it the largest Re/Max office in Florida, company officials say.

The new organization will offer insurance, mortgage and title services for residential and commercial properties.

Re/Max Properties was founded in 1989 by Tim and Judy Crowley. Re/Max Gulfstream Realty was started in 1992 by David Coupland and Ron Travis.

Peter Crowley has been named as president; he formerly served as president of Re/Max Properties.
