RWA’s session will focus on rural lands

RWA Inc.’s (www.consult-rwa.com) Planning Department has been invited to present at the Florida American Planning Association (FAPA) Annual Conference Sept 10-13 in Miami.

The event will include a number of sessions, special seminars, and mobile workshops highlighting sustainable initiatives, techniques, and strategies to plan, design and build a more sustainable Florida.

 

RWA’s session focusing on rural lands is titled “Long Range Growth Management Strategies for Rural & Agricultural Counties.” It will feature a panel discussion on developing planning strategies that address population growth, conservation of environmentally sensitive lands, and support for an economically viable agricultural industry.

RWA’s panel of experts includes Mitch Hutchcraft of Consolidated Citrus; Peter Quasius, environmental policy advocate, Collier Audubon Society; and Charles Gauthier, Florida Department of Community Affairs.

Patrick Vanasse, Fort Myers planning manager, will moderate this session.
