Owen-Ames-Kimball Co. is handling the construction

Owen-Ames-Kimball Co. (OAK) has started construction of a new mixed-use retail and parking facility for the City of Punta Gorda.

The project, located at the corner of Herald Court and U.S. 41., will consist of a four-level, 409-space parking garage with a portion of the ground floor available for retail leasing.

The garage will be constructed of pre-cast concrete with an applied brick finish.

Other design elements include roofed stair towers rising above the top parking level, one of which will feature the City of Punta Gorda seal.

The brick finish and stair towers are part of a design that will create the historic look that is prominent in the downtown Punta Gorda area and that aligns with the city’s overall pedestrian path streetscape.

The OAK team for this project is job site superintendent Jason Prokopetz, project manager Frank Mullins and general superintendent Frank Bell.
