He will address the challenges and priorities facing Lee County

Ray Judah, the newly elected chairman of the Lee County Board of Commissioners, has been invited to address the challenges and priorities facing Lee County government in the year ahead at the Real Estate Investment Society’s (REIS) Dec. 9 luncheon meeting.

The main focus of Judah’s presentation will be the County’s budget and property taxes.

The commission chairman is expected to discuss the impact of the Babcock development, impact fees, and zoning and development moratoriums in Lehigh Acres and the DR/GR area.

On other matters of interest to the business community, the commissioner will update the REIS membership on local government’s efforts to develop a new baseball stadium and

The meeting is sponsored by ISOOSI Communications, and will begin promptly at 11:45 a.m. on Dec. 9 in the Osprey Room at Pelican Preserve’s Clubhouse on Treeline Avenue at Colonial Boulevard in Fort Myers.

Admission is $25 for members and $35.00 for guests, which includes lunch.
