Mathews Construction built the $4.3 million project
Mathews Construction (www.mathewsconstruction.com) has completed construction of the Southwest Florida Enterprise Center for the City of Fort Myers. The two-building projcet will serve as the hub for the city’s efforts to assist start-up business enterprises within the City of Fort Myers. It offers 40,000 total square feet of space that will house executive offices, a commercial and industrial center, a training center and government offices. Located on Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard, the SW Enterprise Center was designed by Parker, Mudgett, Smith Architects of Fort Myers and was built under a construction manager contract. Groundbreaking on the $4.3 million project took place in the fall of 2007. The center includes fully equipped offices for lease, expandable bays and offices appropriate for light industrial uses and a government center that will house the Southwest Florida Enterprise Center Administrative office, the City of Fort Myers CDD Real Estate Department and the Fort Myers Housing Authority. The facility also features a training center with a meeting room that will accommodate seating for up to 50 people. Dedication of the center is scheduled for Aug. 1. |
