Downtown Sarasota apartments sell for $5.1 million PDF Print E-mail

The building is expected to be razed for a new condo development The Candace Marie Apartments in downtown Sarasota have been purchased for $5.1 million, according to the county property appraiser’s office.

The eight-unit building property is expected to be razed to make space for a nine-unit, two-story condominium complex, with units going for $3 million, according to the Downtown Sarasota Condominium Association Web site.

The 9,850 square-foot building, which sits on roughly half an acre, is at 280 Golden Gate Point.

The buyer was AM II Inc. of Sarasota.

The sellers were Robert and Susan Jamieson of Woburn, Mass.
