Three Stevens Construction team members recently participated in the Heartland Triathlon to support the Ridge Trails Association, a nonprofit organization devoted to developing greenways and blueways in Highlands County.

Stevens Construction president Mark Stevens cycled 15 miles, project manager Tom Doty swam a quarter mile, and project administrator Lizette Martin ran 3.1 miles. The team placed 10th in the relay.

More than 400 people took part in the event, which is in its second year. The Ridge Trails Association advocates for creation and promotion of biking, canoeing, equestrian and hiking trails.
