Fifth Third Bank of South Florida has named Juan Castro as senior vice president, commercial line of business manager.

Castro will develop and direct commercial banking and real estate activity for the South Florida affiliate’s west coast regions.

He previously served as commercial bank director for Wachovia Corporation.

Castro has a master of business administration degree in urban planning and design from the University of Miami.

He sits on the board of directors for Junior Achievement and is involved with the Greater Naples Area Chamber of Commerce, Collier Economic Development Council and Urban Land Institute.
