The Professional Building Systems employee completes safety council course
Stephen Jordan of Professional Building Systems (www.PBScontractors.com.)has completed the Southwest Florida Safety Council’s Maintenance of Traffic Intermediate Level Course. The objective of the course is to gain an understanding of the planning, design, implementation and maintenance of safe work zones around roads. After a two-day course and examination, Jordan earned certification to re-direct vehicular traffic around construction projects to maintain a safe work zone. Construction projects that come within fifteen feet of the road require a lane closure for worker safety. In order to implement work zone traffic control devices, contractors must be certified. Jordan will use this knowledge and experience on multiple specialty projects he is completing for Collier County Government. Jordan is a graduate from Hodges University, where he earned a bachelor’s degree with honors while working full-time at Professional Building Systems. He is now pursuing his general contractor license. |
