David Grossman receieved the designation from the U.S. Green Building Council

David Grossman, a J.L. Wallace (www.jlwallaceinc.com) project manager, has earned a Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) accreditation from the U.S. Green Building Council.

Grossman has already begun implementing eco-friendly building strategies at J.L. Wallace.

These strategies, many of which have little or no effect on construction costs, include using native plants in landscape selections, installing energy- and water-efficient fixtures, and purchasing lumber from a Forestry Stewardship Council certified lumberyard, which replaces cut down trees by planting new ones.

Grossman, a former commissioned officer and pilot for the U.S. Army, earned a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from the United States Military Academy at West Point.
