Orion Bank has named David Gookin as vice president, commercial lending.

Gookin is responsible for the origination of commercial loans and new business development throughout the Lee County market.

Gookin has been in banking since 1972, and has more than 16 years of commercial banking management experience in Florida. Before joining Orion, he served as a commercial lender for Colonial Bank in Fort Myers. He previously was a commercial lender for the First National Bank of Southwest Florida in Cape Coral.
