Dennis Gilkey, CEO of Gilkey Organization and Gilkey Advisors, has been appointed to the Lee County Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) Citizens Advisory Committee.

The committee consists of 21 citizens who make recommendations to the MPO on proposed transportation system plans, priorities for state and federal funding and other transportation issues.

The MPO’s mission is to provide leadership in planning and promoting a comprehensive transportation system that will provide for regional mobility, encourage a positive investment climate and foster sustainable development.

Gilkey received a bachelor of science in civil engineering from the University of Florida. Before founding Gilkey Organization in early 2007, he served for 23 years in senior capacities at the Bonita Bay Group companies, including nine years as its chief executive officer.
