The veteran will lead Bank of Florida -- Southeast
Bank of Florida Corp. of Naples has named banking veteran John S. Chaperon as president and chief executive officer for Bank of Florida -- Southeast, which has operations in Broward, Miami-Dade and Palm Beach counties. Chaperon joined the company in 2002 as its executive vice president and senior lender for the Southeast Florida region. In 2006, he relocated from Broward County to Miami-Dade to serve as the interim president for Bank of Florida's first acquisition, Bristol Bank. Since early 2007, he has served the holding company as the corporate risk officer, overseeing credit administration and bank compliance. "The decision to appoint John to this position was an easy one. John has displayed true leadership, commitment and passion to our organization time and time again. He is a Southeast Florida native and has nearly 40 years of experience in the banking industry in South Florida, including building a number of banks from the ground up," said Michael L.
