Penny A. Hook has been appointed chief operating officer for the Bonita Springs-Estero Association of Realtors (BEAR).

Hook, who is BEAR’s current director of education and communications, replaces Bill Macauley, who has announced his retirement.

Hook has worked for 30 years in the real estate industry as a realtor, broker and branch manager for a number of firms in the Tampa area. Locally, Hook’s real estate experience includes Cape Coral, Fort Myers and, most recently, in the Bonita Springs and Estero areas.

Hook is a graduate of Stetson University. She assumed her most recent role on the BEAR staff late last year.
