Dorothy Williams of the Bonita Bay Community Association earns the designation

Dorothy Williams, director of design for the Bonita Bay Community Association, has been designated as an association management specialist by the Community Association Institute.

Williams joined the Bonita Bay Community Association in January 2000. She chairs the Design Review Committee, which ensures the consistency and aesthetic standards of the 2,400-acre master-planned community.

Williams manages the design-review process for single-family homes, multifamily neighborhoods, the high-rises and all exterior modifications within Bonita Bay, working with residents, builders, architects and landscape designers.

She is a member of the South Gulf Coast Chapter of the Community Association Institute.

The Community Association Institute, founded in 1973, is the only national organization dedicated to fostering leadership and professionalism within the country’s 295,000 residential condominium, cooperative and homeowner associations. The CAI has 57 chapters throughout the United States serving more than 26,000 members.
