For the second consecutive year, Stevens Construction Inc. has won an Aurora Award at the Southeast Builder’s Conference. The Aurora Awards honor the best in residential and commercial construction in a 12-state region. Stevens Construction (www.stevensconstructioninc.com) took home an Aurora in the best commercial health care category for St. Mark’s Surgical Center in Fort Myers. The 9,290-square-foot facility has three operating rooms, a post-operating area and administrative offices. It features decorative stone flooring and a vaulted wood-plank ceiling, creating a ski resort atmosphere. Stevens Construction built St. Mark’s Surgical Center to withstand hurricane-force winds of 130 mph, in compliance with the ASCE 7-98 wind load provisions. Additionally, a generator allows for continuous operations in the entire building if power is disrupted. Designed by Burt Hill/Pollock Kreig Architects Inc., St. Mark’s Surgical Center was inspected and licensed by the Agency for Health Care Administration (AHCA), which ensures regulatory compliance for health care facilities throughout Florida. Welsh Companies FL Inc. has completed of University Park IV, a Class-A office building in the University Park business campus on Summerlin Road. The freestanding, two-story, concrete pre-cast building totals 21,122 square feet. Two floor plates with 10,155 rentable square feet per floor are ready for tenant build-out. Building signage is available. Space is also available for lease in the campus’ six-story University I building with immediate occupancy. |
