The third annual "restaurant week" is scheduled for May 27-June 8

The Sarasota Convention and Visitor's Bureau (SCVB) will hold the third annual "Savor Sarasota" Restaurant Week, now extended to run nearly two full weeks, from May 27-June 8.

It will culminate with the new "Forks & Corks" culinary festival. The 13-day dining event that showcases Sarasota's chefs and eateries. So far, the SCVB has recruited more than 30 restaurants.

Patrons can enjoy multi-course meals at participating restaurants for $15 per person for lunch and $25 per person for dinner.

"Forks & Corks" will be held June 5-8, and will offer interactive tastings and seminars, vintner dinners, cocktail competitions and a grand festival celebration with live music, children's activities and a charity auction.
