The Colliers Arnold research shows nearly steady vacancy rate The Sarasota/Manatee metropolitan statistical area office market ended 2007 with a 7.2 percent overall vacancy rate for the fourth quarter, according to research conducted by Colliers Arnold, a Tampa Bay-based commercial real estate firm. By comparison, the vacancy rate at year-end 2006 finished at 7.4 percent. Nationwide, the rate was 12.2 percent. Absorption in the Sarasota/Manatee office market in the fourth quarter was 45,550 square feet. The annual 2007 absorption total was 481,031 square feet, down from the 538,228 square feet in 2006.
