The $150 million project is Cape Coral's first condo-hotel development

Grosse Pointe Development Company has broken ground on Cape Coral’s first condo-hotel, the Resort at MarinaVillage at Tarpon Point.

The $150 million project will feature a 19-story luxury building overlooking the marina and the Caloosahatchee River. The fully furnished, two- and three-bedroom suites range from 1,225 to 2,225 square feet. They have master suites, grand rooms, guest suites and private dining terraces.

Suite owners can use all the amenities of Tarpon Point Marina as well as concierge and spa services, room service, housekeeping and access to a resort-style pool, spa and deck.

The Resort at MarinaVillage will be managed by Fort Myers-based SunStream Hotels & Resorts.

Prices for the suites range from $630,000 to $1.3 million.

MarinaVillage will be a commercial, residential and retail center within Tarpon Point Marina that will be open to the public. Upon completion, Tarpon Point Marina will have 976 single-family homes, condominium homes, park homes and lakeview homes.
