Nu-Cape Construction Company will provide construction management services

Nu-Cape Construction Co., a division of Owen-Ames-Kimball Co. (OAK), will provide construction management services for Nova Southeastern University’s new Fort Myers Student Educational Center.

The new university operations will be located in a shell building currently under construction by Nu-Cape Construction. Replacing and expanding the Fort Myers operations, the 60,000-square-foot, four-story tenant build-out will also house the university’s health care and allied professionals programs.

The project will include complete interior construction of classrooms, computer labs, faculty offices and meeting spaces, student lounges and reception areas. Additional customization of the space will include a portion of the classrooms constructed to mirror acute care and other specialized health care settings.

The Nu-Cape team for this project will be Ron Berry as job site superintendent; Chuck Pringle as assistant job site superintendent; Rex Budd as general superintendent; and Butch McGovern, general manager of the Nu-Cape office, as the project manager.
