The $6 million project at Moorings Presbyterian was completed by Owen-Ames-Kimball
Owen-Ames-Kimball Company (OAK) has completed construction of the Moorings Presbyterian Church’s new sanctuary and parlor in Naples. The $6 million expansion included Italian marble and Egyptian limestone flooring, 35-foot-high oak and walnut wainscoting, acoustical curtaining and a sound system as well as seating for 800 in the 14,999-square-foot sanctuary. The focal point of the sanctuary is a 14-foot oak and walnut inlayed cross set in a floor sleeve in the center of the raised pulpit and choir stage area. This area also includes a 600-square-foot custom made wooden structure used to house the church’s new pipe organ. Construction of a new parlor and the remodeling of the existing Webster Chapel, both adjacent to the new sanctuary, were a part of this project. The OAK team included Rick Gutknecht as the job site superintendent, Patrick Conran as general superintendent and Abrie Spies as the project manager. |
