The School District of Lee County has selected GATES (www.GATESinc.com) as the builder for the G. Weaver Hipps Elementary School in Lehigh Acres.

The 122,244 square-foot school is a prototype design, and will house approximately 1,000 students.

The School will be built using the tilt-wall and structural steel construction method. In 2007, GATES completed the same prototype design at Patriot Elementary.

The campus features include a covered play area with restrooms, physical education facility, classrooms, and administrative offices. Construction is expected to begin this spring.
