LandQwest Commercial has begun offering weekly yoga classes to its employees.

“Yoga in the workplace encourages employees to maintain wellness on all levels,” says Raquel Torres, the firms public relations director and the yoga teacher. “The various challenges of today’s real estate market can leave many feeling incredibly stressed out. Yogic techniques like focusing on the breath can be highly effective to calming the mind, stimulating joy and increasing a more creative and prosperous energy flow.”

Torres received certification as a Raja-Hatha Yoga Teacher from the Florida Yoga Institute. She teaches it on Tuesday evenings at a space rented from the local Unitarian Universalist Church of Fort Myers.

“Yoga appeals to our diverse group, offering everyone the opportunity to destress at the end of a work day,” says LandQwest managing principal Stephen A. Cunningham. “We’re always on someone else’s clock and this hour of yoga gives each individual the chance to refocus and reprioritize.”
