The Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC) Florida Gulf Coast Chapter has named Kraft Construction Co. as its Business of the Year in the General Contractor category of more than 200 employees.

ABC’s Business of the Year and Safety Star Awards event was held recently in Tampa.

This biannual ceremony recognizes and honors ABC members who have made outstanding contributions to the industry, safety, community and the ABC chapter.

Applicants were asked to provide information about employee improvement and benefit programs, involvement in civic and nonprofit groups, diversity programs and involvement in ABC sponsored activities and training, as well as employee safety and professional development programs.

“We are proud to be selected for this prestigious award,” said Fred Pezeshkan, Kraft’s chief executive officer. “The ABC Florida Gulf Coast Chapter exemplifies leadership and integrity in all that they do.”

Naples-based Kraft, which is celebrating its 40^th Anniversary this year, is a general contractor and construction management firm specializing in commercial, government, educational, medical and high-rise and residential construction.
