Saturday's event in downtown Fort Myers will provide plenty for youngsters and their families to do

The Fort Myers Redevelopment Agency, along with Kraft Construction and Volvo Rents, invites pre-school and elementary school kids, along with their families, to the free Kraft Kids’ Construction Day on Saturday.

Children will have the opportunity to climb up on big machinery such as bulldozers and loaders, get their picture taken doing it.

The first 300 kids will receive a hard hat.

Other free activities include a bounce house, inflatable obstacle course, laser tag, and face painting and clowns.

Classic Rock 94.5 will be broadcasting remotely from 10 a.m. until noon.

The event, which will feature ice cream, food and drink, runs from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., with the starting point on First Street in front of the Sidney & Berne Davis Arts Center.
