SW Florida legislative delegation meeting at FGCU

Issues ’08, the fourth annual meeting of the Southwest Florida regional legislative delegation at Florida Gulf Coast University, is scheduled from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Friday.

Members of the Southwest Florida regional legislative delegation – including House and Senate delegates from Charlotte, Collier, DeSoto, Glades, Hendry, Lee and Sarasota counties – will gather with community leaders from throughout the region to hear presentations on information of regional importance.

The topics include: Cornerstone Report Card, Century Commission for a Sustainable Florida, Regional Approach to Economic Development, Hometown Democracy, Planning for the Future in Southwest Florida and Florida’s Climate Change Initiative.

Cost to attend is $55 per person, which includes breakfast and lunch. The event is open to the public.
