The parcel will be discussed at the next Cape Coral Council for Progress meeting

Future use of the Zemmel property in Cape Coral will be the topic for discussion at the Cape Coral Council for Progress meeting on Friday at Gulf Coast Village, 1333 Santa Barbara Blvd. in Cape Coral.

The meeting will feature Jeff Gussoff, an attorney representing the interests of the Zemel family, and Annette Barbaccia, former head of the City of Cape Coral’s planning division. They will talk about the proposal for land-usage changes via comprehensive plan amendments for the 2,500-acre tract.

This is the first time the proposed amendments have been discussed publicly.

Breakfast and networking begin at 7 a.m. and the program starts at 7:30 a.m.

The meeting is open to the public, and is free for members and $15 for nonmembers.

The Cape Coral Council for Progress is the private sector’s arm for economic development in the City of Cape Coral.
