Gevity (Nasdaq:GVHR) (www.gevity.com) has added James F. Orr III to its board of directors.

Orr has been the chairman of the board of the Rockefeller Foundation since 2000. He also has served as a director of American International Group Inc. since 2006. He was president and chief executive officer of Boston-based United Asset Management Corp., a publicly owned investment management company, from May 2000 to December 2001. And Orr served as chairman, chief executive officer and president of UNUM Provident Corp.‘s predecessor, UNUM Corp., from September 1987 until 1999.
