Genus Loci Studio (www.genuslocistudio.com) was recently featured as a showcase designer at the 2008 Home Design and Remodeling Show in Fort Lauderdale.

As one of two designers selected for the showcase, the company is the first landscape architecture and design firm to headline the event in its 30-year history.

Genus Loci Studio designed a 240 square-foot outdoor living space with flagstone flooring paired with architectural foam columns and fireplace. The display was furnished with several water-resistant pieces, including outdoor patio furniture made out of vinyl woven over an aluminum frame and a weather- and UV ray-resistant mahogany garden gate designed by principal and creative director C. Chad Elkins.
