Brooks & Freund has started construction on the UPS Building located at 2901 Cargo St. in Fort Myers.

The building consists of an existing 28,044 square foot space that will include facility alteration, 25,572 square feet of new construction, which will be used for Parcel Distribution, and 5,880 square feet of office space.

Tom Doty of Brooks & Freund is the project manager, Tom Karr is the job superintendent and Barbara Copeland is the project administrator. The project developer is United Parcel Service Inc. Facility Design Group GA provided architectural design services.

Construction is expected to be complete in March 2009.
