The measure would require that state-required property tax assessments to fund education be replaced with other funding streams

The Florida Association of Realtors (www.floridarealtors.org) has launched its campaign to support the passage of proposed Florida Constitutional Amendment 5.

The “tax swap” amendment would require that state-required property tax assessments to fund education be replaced with other funding streams, such as the 1 percent sales tax increase and removal of sales tax exemptions.

The FAR will announce the creation of its “Give Me 5 For Florida's Future” Web site, political committee and its key legislative supporters.
