The topic is “The Balance Sheet: What Are Downtown’s Assets? What Is Missing?”

The Downtown Partnership of Sarasota will hold a program titled “The Balance Sheet: What Are Downtown’s Assets? What Is Missing?” at a noon luncheon on June 24 at the University Club.

The event marks the third of an eight-part 2008 forum series addressing “Insuring Downtown’s Future: Critical Questions Demand Answers.”

The speakers at the luncheon will be John Simon, developer of downtown’s Pineapple Square, and Andrew Foley, co-owner of downtown’s Sarasota News and Books and a downtown resident. The program will be moderated by Roger Barry, professor emeritus of Urban Planning at the University of Cincinnati and a downtown resident.
