About 25 percent of all charitable donations come from the yule tree sales
The large tent with a rooftop sign “Christmas Trees” located in front of Sunshine Plaza on Bonita Beach Road marks the end of an annual trek for hundreds of people. “We plan to sell trees until Dec. 19 unless we sell out earlier,” said Ron Anderson, chairman of the Rotary Club of Bonita Springs Christmas Tree Committee. “We have approximately 300 trees in inventory and expect this weekend to be busy. We invited people to come shop for trees from noon until 9 p.m. through Sunday and then 4 p.m. until 9 p.m. Monday through Wednesday.” “This is the 18th year the Rotary Club has been selling Christmas trees” said Fred Partin, club president. “Purchasing trees from the Rotary Club is a tradition for many families in and around Bonita Springs. They know we have a good selection of trees and provide great service, and all profit will go to good causes within the community and throughout the world.” Last year, the Club Foundation gave $85,000 to various local and international charities with 25 percent of the proceeds coming from our Christmas tree sales.
