April existing single-family home sales in the Sarasota-Manatee region increased to 743 compared with 708 during the same period a year ago, according to a Florida Association of Realtors report.

The median sales price fell to $268,200 last month from $302,200 in April 2007. Condo sales in April totaled 270, down from 320 last year.

The median sales price last month was $212,000 compared with $238,400 during the same period in 2007.
