Cement Industries Inc., in conjunction with the Florida Prestressed Concrete Association (FPCA), invites Southwest Florida architects, engineers and general contractors to a Nov. 14 “Lunch and Learn” session.

The seminar offers three hours of continuing education credits.

FPCA executive director Joe Lord will present a one-hour “Basics of Prestressed Concrete” program, which is accredited by the American Institute of Architects, during a lunch provided by Cement Industries.

Two additional CEU credits are available for those who participate in a Cement Industries plant tour following lunch. The tour covers concrete batching, production, quality-control lab tests and finishing operations for a variety of prestressed concrete products.

The program begins at 11:30 a.m. at the Cement Industries training facility on Evans Avenue in Fort Myers. There is no charge for the program, but reservations are required. Please call Jessica at 332-1440 for reservations or additional information.

The Florida Prestressed Concrete Association was founded in 1957 to provide the people of Florida superior building systems that are durable, attractive and low-cost.
